DB Interiors and Exteriors was established in 2021. Having over 25 years experience between both partners there are not many jobs that DB can't handle. Whether it is a small renovation of transforming your whole house DB Interiors and Exteriors wants to help your vision become reality.
The Owners
Jonathan Bate
Jonathan Bate has over 10 years experience in multiple trades. Starting with waterproofing and masonry repair as his first construction job he then moved on to learning about roofing. From there he obtained a general contracting position where he learned much of his interior knowledge and framing knowledge. After that he was promoted to the foreman position for the interiors department until the company shifted focus to strictly exterior work. He quickly became an exterior installing supervisor until he decided that with all the knowledge he had obtained he could start his own company with partner Kyle DeVries. With all of the different trades Jonathan has been a part of it is hard to find a job he can't do! Interiors or exteriors if you need something done he will have an answer for you! Big job or small job give Jonathan Bate a call and he will be there!
Kyle De Vries
Kyle De Vries has 18 years of experience in the trades. Starting at a young age in trades work Kyle knows how to do almost everything. He completed his carpenters apprenticeship at Fanshawe College making framing and other carpentry his specialty. With the knowledge he has obtained from his schooling if you have a designed drawing done by an engineer for your project then it is no problem for Kyle! He has spent many years building high end custom pool cabanas, decks, fences and more! Kyle's expertise doesn't stop there! He also has many years under his belt installing windows and doors. From frame out windows to retro fit if you are looking for new windows look no further! Kyle has dealt with almost every kind of window or door imaginable so measuring, ordering and installing is no problem at all.
In May 2023 my husband and I hired Jon and Kyle to do a "complete gut" renovation for my home office. We were very impressed by their professionalism and work ethic. They consistently arrived on time, and left the space clean (e.g.. floor swept, tools put away) at the end of the day, thereby ensuring that the rest of our home was minimally impacted by this major renovation. We cannot express how very pleased we were with the final outcome. Jon and Kyle's worksmanship is exemplary. We will happily have them back for our next renovation.

I first used the services of DB Interiors and Exteriors to repair a vent that had been incorrectly installed (by a different contractor) and as a result water was leaking into my kitchen. They were very prompt in solving the problem. Since then, I have hired them to install 4 skylights. They were very professional and completed the installation in a timely manner. The attention to detail was greatly appreciated. They always showed up when they said they would and completed all clean-up when the job was done.

So extremely pleased with the work that Kyle and Jon did in our garage, I chose this board and baton as I had seen it at a cottage and i knew this was the route I was going to go. DB Interiors and Exteriors was hired to install our patio door, and this was no small job since the door was larger than a standard patio door. From start to finish, they did a fantastic job. Their attention to detail and quality of workmanship were excellent. Jon and Kyle were polite, professional, and tidy throughout the entire process.

DB installed all of our new windows, exterior doors, and some siding. Jon was a pleasure to work with—skilled, efficient, and thoughtful. He even saved me from having to return a window for the second time by expertly building out one of the frames.
